IOCL – Southern Region Pipelines

It is a Proposal given for the Southern Region Pipelines Regional Office of the Indian Oil Corporation. Given the tight site and a large area requirement to be met, the project was a challenge with the most iconic outcome.The circulation spaces, service areas and areas of public usage were clearly mapped out in the plan.

Post that a climatic analysis revealed that the east and North had maximum potential for inflow of Natural Light, however due to a narrow east boundary we have used a projection and staggering to maximize surface area and light entry.This juxtaposing staggered contemporary architecture serves the eye and the environment with its façade elements. Solar cells ensure power generation and electrochromic smart glass is used to shut out the harsh heat of the sun, Double glazing tackles noise pollution, heat loss and helps save on power consumption.
